Where the coverage actually is
Every article names the places it is about. We extract those places from each outlet's published stories (one model reads the title and text; pins appear only where it is confident of the location) and put them on one map, so "who covers your community" becomes something you can look up rather than take on faith. Pin size scales with article count. Data as of 2026-09-17; the map fills in as the index grows.

Locations come from each outlet's public feed window, so counts grow daily and early numbers are small. Alaska Public Media is absent for the same reason as elsewhere: no feed we could find. A story can be about more than one place; statewide stories carry no pin.
